Golf’s Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) framework is a key component of British Columbia’s golf development pathway, guiding athletes from early childhood through to adulthood.
Aligned with Golf Canada’s vision, the LTPD model supports players in reaching their full potential while promoting lifelong participation in the sport.
Beyond serving as a performance measurement tool, the LTPD framework emphasizes continued engagement with golf at all levels. The second iteration, released in 2015, introduced interactive elements to enhance the experience for those utilizing the guide, building upon the original version from 2006.
While primarily designed for golf professionals, athletes, and parents, the LTPD guide also provides valuable insights for golf course owners, superintendents, and others invested in growing the game across British Columbia.
