Golf is a fantastic sport for kids to get into. It is an active, outdoor, and social game. It also differs from other sports in that people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels can play together. This teaches young people to interact with others, which is a valuable skill to have in life.
In 2020, The First Tee took over as the National Junior Program in Canada, offering low- to no-cost introductory junior programs at schools, community centres, and green grass (golf course) facilities.
First Tee is different from other junior golf programs in that it views golf as a vehicle to teach core life values inherent to the game.
This model has made First Tee one of the most recognizable junior programs worldwide since its inception in 1997.
We are very fortunate in British Columbia to have multiple facilities and coaches involved with the First Tee program, all eager to help juniors get started in the game.
